Forever Be My Always layout with Romantique

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today sharing my last project for this year featuring the lovely Kaisercraft’s Romantique Collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). On the pictures are my most favourite human beings in the whole world! 🙂

MI-Forever-Always-web-530To assemble my background I used the Parisian pattern paper and pattern papers from  the Paper Pad. I cut two stripes from the 12″ pattern paper, distressed their edges with a piercing tool and Paper Distresser and adhered them to Kaisercard Coconut Weave Cardstock using Kaisercraft 12mm Double-sided Tape. I added the note-pattern papers in the middle of my background using a Coconut Cardstock stripe to separate both designs. After everything was in place, I added a dimensional pattern using Texture Paste and Waffle 6×6 Designer Stencil and sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold on top. MI-Forever-Always-det- (1)To decorate my pictures I used die cuts from the Paper Pad and the Collectables Pack which I adhered with Mounting Foam Tape. MI-Forever-Always-det- (3) MI-Forever-Always-det- (7)I fussy cut butterflies from the Butterflies acetate sheet and used a die cut quote from the Collectables Pack as well. MI-Forever-Always-det- (5)For the flower cluster I used Paper Blooms – Coconut and Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink. I added two large swirls die cut with Kaisercraft’s Decorative Die Foliage.MI-Forever-Always-det- (2)

For the large quote under my pictures, I used a quote from the Sticker Sheet, which I layered on a slightly larger Coconut Cardstock stripe. Before adhering it to my page I inked its edges using Mini Distress Ink Pad – Antique Linen. MI-Forever-Always-det- (4)As a final touch I added a few black epoxy dots from the Epoxy Stickers – Candy pack.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post!

Have a lovely creative weekend and I’ll see you in 2018!

I Love You layout with Romantique

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today with my first layout for December featuring Kaisercraft’s Romantique Collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). And though December is all about Christmas, the collection I have the pleasure to work with this month is filled with beautiful butterflies, sentimental quotes and soft pastel colours and have nothing to do with the Holiday Season.MI-I-Love-You-530

For my background I used Kaisercard Ballet Weave Cardstock and Boutique pattern paper. I stamped a pattern along the edge of the cardstock, trimmed the pattern paper and distressed its edges with a piercing tool and Paper Distresser. Then I adhered both layers with Kaisercraft 12mm Double-sided Tape.

Once the pattern paper was secured, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold and White on top. Then I added the pink pattern layer using Ornate Mini Designer Stencil and Mini Ink Pad – Petal PinkMI-I-love-you-det-a (1)

To create the layers under my picture I used pattern papers from the Paper Pad and die cut shapes from the Collectables PackMI-I-love-you-det-a (3)

I added extra pictures using the foil frames from the Gold Frames foil paperMI-I-love-you-det-a (4) MI-I-love-you-det-a (2)

To decorate my page I used various stickers from the Sticker Sheet, fussy cut butterflies from the Butterflies acetate sheet and flowers (Paper Blooms – CoconutPaper Blooms – Fairy Floss and Mini Paper Blooms – Coconut). I die cut the foliage using Decorative Die Mini Foliage. MI-I-love-you-det-a (7) MI-I-love-you-det-a (8)

For the title quote I used a framed saying from the Symphony pattern paper, which I layered on top of a foil frame. MI-I-love-you-det-a (6)

I die cut the word “friend” using Kaisercard Ballet Weave Cardstock and Decorative Die – Treasured Words. As a final touch I added small flowers, Rhinestones – SilverRhinestones – Lippy Red and Epoxy Stickers – Candy.MI-I-love-you-det-a (9)

November 18th 2017 – Merly Crop Kit layout preview

Hi Everyone,

The November Merly Crop will soon be upon us so here are the details and sneak peeks of the layouts that you will be able to create using the kit. For this kit I have used papers from the beautiful “Romantique” Kaisercraft collection.

Also supplied in the kit are DMC cotton, Kaisercard, rhinestones, gauze and detailed instructions with coloured photo’s for you to follow, so you can then create the two layouts that I have designed at your own pace.

home-romantiqueBelow are some sneak peeks of the first layout which I’ve called “We are never far apart” it uses one black & white photo measuring 8.5cm wide x 10.5cm high. The layout features beautiful fussy cut birds, flowers and butterflies with a little gauze tucked in and around the embellishments,  there is also a little bit of stitching and punching and I have used crystal lacquer on some of the fussy cut elements. I have also added some misting using product from my own stash.

For this layout I have focused on the grey/blue colour papers, there is also a tiny hint of pale yellow in some of the butterflies. This layout also features beautiful fussy cut flowers & butterflies & a little stitching.

We will however have a selection of ink pads & Foam dots/roll & the crystal lacquer available to purchase in the on site Merly shop.

I have also used the Kaisercraft “Fleur de lis ” Embossing folder, the WRMK Sew Easy Tool – and the Martha Stewart PATP set “Eyelet Lace”, these will be available to use at the crop along with our usual supply of tools including the Big Shot machine.

The location of the crop, together with other details and future dates can be found on our Crop Dates page. We also have a crop/retreat facebook page, where you can see more sneak peeks and details of up and coming events and where you can also post your finished layouts.
