Save the Dates using Something Blue

Hi Everyone,
I have a special project to share with you today! I have created wedding Save the Dates using the Something Blue Collection by Uniquely Creative. It is not very often that you get the opportunity to make this type project, nor have the perfect papers for it! I absolutely love the the blues in this collection and they coordinate so well with the silver glitter cardstock.

To create these Save the Dates I have followed the steps below:

  • Adhere stamped pieces to the silver cardstock and then onto the largest white pieces
  • Adhere fussy cut elements to the stamped side of the invitations
  • Take a “save the date” stamp, stamp it six times, cut out and ink
  • If you desire, add the details and some magnets to the backs

I hope I have inspired you to create something special with the absolutely gorgeous Something Blue Collection!! A step-by-step video tutorial can be found here.

Stay safe and keep crafting!!

Age Is An Attitude…

I’m back with my final piece of this month and for this piece I chose to use one of the Beyond The Page products, together with papers and elements from the Save The Date collection.

To begin with I painted the bare frame using a cream acrylic paint, I then painted over the cream with a pale blue paint and once dry sanded back random areas on the frame to reveal the colour underneath.

On the background of the frame I used both the patterned sides of the Pinwheel paper.

I added a photograph and die cuts from the Collectables pack to complete the project and finally, added a top coat of sealant to protect the frame.

For this Beyond The Page project, these are the items I used:

Thanks for taking the time to look and see you all again soon!

Save The Date…

Hello again!! I’m back with my second project of the month, using the Save The Date collection and to show the versatility of these papers, I made a couple of cards using the papers and the die cuts from the Collectables pack.

Save the Date card

On this first card, I created an easel style card but with a difference. I made a draw back section in the middle of the card, so that when it folds down flat, it looks like your regular shaped card but when you draw back the easel, it stands up to reveal one of the fabulous quotes from the Collectables pack. I also used some of the die cuts from the Collectables pack to create my banner across the top of the card. I made the pinwheels using papers from the collection and as a finishing touch, I added twine to the banner.

Here is a list of the items I used to make the first of these fancy fold cards:

The second card is a wardrobe style card, which I used paper from the Paper Pad to decorate the front and inside the card, I used the back and the front of the 12” x 12” Streamers paper. I matted the papers onto Kaisercard and the quote on the inside of the card is from the Hip Hop 12” Paper. I made the rosettes using the 12” x 12” Invite paper and added a sticker from the Alpha Sticker Sheet to complete the card.

Here’s what I used to make this card:

Thank you for taking the time to look and I hope you’ll leave a comment to let me know what you think of these cards.

See again soon

Remember When…

It’s already that time of month for me to share my posts with you…doesn’t time fly? This month, I had the gorgeous Save The Date collection to work with and here is the first of my projects using the collection.

This photo is a very special one and was taken when I was 7 years old and it turned out to be the very last photo taken with my Grandad before he died. I’d made him a special birthday cake and because it was the first one that I’d ever made all on my own and because he was so proud of that cake, he insisted on having our photo taken in his garden. So, when I saw these papers and the stickers from the Alpha Sticker Sheet, I just knew that this photo would fit these papers so well and, I was right!!!

For this scrapbook layout, these are the items I used:

Thank you so much for stopping by and having a look at my layout ~ I hope you like it!

See you soon…
