I Love You with Victorian Home

Hello fellow crafters,

Emmy here today sharing another project I created using the amazing Victorian Home collection from ScrapBoys (available at Merly Impressions online store).MI-Love-you-web530For my background I used Victorian Home – Paper 05. Using a foam brush I smudged Dina Wakley White Gesso on top of the design to soften the colours. Once the gesso has dries, I added extra texture using Clear Stamp – Lattice and Ink Pad – Bark (but you can use KaiserInk Pad – Chocolate as well). MI-Love-you-det-a530

Then I took the flowery edges from Victorian Home – Paper 01 and adhered them on top of the altered background paper. Using Decorative Die – Texture Burlap and Kaisercard Tutu Weave Cardstock I added a decorative edge between the background paper and the flower panel. Once everything was in place, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Rose Gold on top. MI-Love-you-det-b530MI-Love-you-det-d

I matted my picture on a slightly larger panel of Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock and then I adhered it using Mounting Foam Tape

To decorate my layout I used fussy cut images from Victorian Home – Paper 04Victorian Home – Paper 07 and Victorian Home – Paper 06.MI-Love-you-det-cMI-Love-you-det-eFor my title I used banners, which I created from the cut-off stripes of the pattern paper. I also used a chipboard word, which I coloured with KaiserInk Pad – Flamingo. Once the ink has dried, I adhered it using ZIG 2 way Glue Fine PointMI-Love-you-det-f

As a final touch I added Rhinestones – Soft PinkRhinestones – Silver and Stickles Glitter Glue. MI-Love-you-det-g

Secret Garden with Victorian Home

Hello fellow crafters,

Emmy here today sharing my first project for March. For this layout I’ve used the magical Victorian Home collection from ScrapBoys (available at Merly Impressions online store) and a few chipboard pieces.
MI-secret-garden-web530MI-secret-garden2-web530For my background I fussy cut the large doorway from Victorian Home – Paper 01 and then carefully “opened” the door using a Craft Knife. To create the pattern on the inner side of the doors, I used KaiserInk Pad – Chocolate and Kaisercraft Clear Stamp – Flutter. I coloured the butterflies with KaiserInk Pad – Flamingo. Once the ink has dried, I adhered the picture, as shown, with Mounting Foam Tape. Then I adhered the altered doorway to the Victorian Home – Paper 03MI-secret-garden-det-aMI-secret-garden-det-b

To decorate my page I used fussy cut images from Victorian Home – Paper 04Victorian Home – Paper 07 and Victorian Home – Paper 06.MI-secret-garden-det-c MI-secret-garden-det-d MI-secret-garden-det-e

Follow Your Dreams with Victorian Home

Hello fellow crafters,

Emmy here today sharing my first project I created using the cute and romantic Victorian Home collection from ScrapBoys (available at Merly Impressions online store).MI-Follow-your-dreams-web530

For my background I used a beige pattern paper. I cut it in two to ‘put’ the pattern together and adhered the two parts on a Kaisercard Tutu Weave Cardstock. Then using Kaisercraft Mini Designer Template “Butterfly Skies” and KaiserInk Pad – Flamingo I created the pinkish butterfly pattern. Once the ink has dried I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold and KaiserMist Spray Ink – Rose Gold on top. MI-Follow-your-dreams-det-a MI-Follow-your-dreams-det-b

I layered my picture on a slightly larger panel of Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock and adhered it to my background using Mounting Foam Tape.

I also used different chipboard pieces. MI-Follow-your-dreams-det-f MI-Follow-your-dreams-det-g

Specially For You with Flowers Story

Hello, Karen here with my second layout using ScrapBoys Flowers Story range plus one sheet from Victorian Home, also from ScrapBoys.  I was really pleased with how the two ranges worked so well together, with the pink and blue butterflies from Victorian Home perfectly complimenting the orange and brown ones from the Flowers Story papers.

Specially for you

For this layout I started with a piece of Coal Weave Kaisercard and onto this I added a piece of Paper 02 which I had trimmed 1/8 in from each side.  I then added a 9 in square of Paper 04, black and white side showing, adding texture paste through the Distressed Dots Stencil at the bottom left and top right of my page.

From the Paper 06 I cut a large frame and the bird and rose centres from two of the other large frames. These were mounted onto a piece of Oatmeal Weave Kaisercard .  I added the frame to the centre of my page, the bird below that to the right and the rose above to the left.

Next I decided to add some butterflies to the top left and bottom right of my layout using more texture paste  and a butterfly mini stencil.

After adding my photo to the centre frame I cut four large butterflies from Paper 07 and all the pink and blue butterflies from Victorian Home Paper 07.

I added these, giving the appearance that they were flying from the bottom right to the top left of my page.

To finish my page I added the title ‘Specially for You’ which was on one of the manufacturer’s strips , some journalling on a scrap of Coal Weave Kaisercard and dotted some Bronze Rhinestones and white pearls in with the butterflies.
