Explore the Unseen

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing my “Explore the Unseen” layout with you. I love the Journey Collection for its diverse colours. Here I use the pinks and reds with touches of gold in this collection, they go perfectly with the photos I have used. I fell in love with the quote “Explore the Unseen” because it goes perfectly with my new lens ball and my journey in learning how to use it to show the world differently in my photography!

To begin with, I took a piece of KAISERCARD SNOW WEAVE CARDSTOCK and cut it to 30.5 cm x 30.5 cm. Using the DISTRESS INK PAD – AGED MAHOGANY and a script stamp, I stamped the top left and bottom right corners of the KAISERCARD SNOW WEAVE CARDSTOCK .
Next, I cut the gold pattern from Nomad paper before cutting the remaining part down to 24.5 cm by 29 cm. To add some gold highlights, I sprayed KAISERMIST SPRAY INK – GOLD SHIMMER 50ML through a stencil on to Nomad paper.
To get the main base of the layout, I also cut a 5.5 cm x 29 cm strip from Voyager Paper and the bottom strip from Vagabond paper. Then I attached all the pieces across the cardstock as shown in the picture (below).
For the photos (7 cm x 7 cm) I prepared frames from KAISERCARD SNOW WEAVE CARDSTOCK measuring 7.7 cm x 7.7 cm. I used the DISTRESS INK PAD – AGED MAHOGANY and a script stamp again to give some colour to my photo frames. I attached the photos to the centre of the frames and attached these to the centre of the layout.
Lastly, I embellished the layout with pink flowers that I cut from Voyager paper, the vases from Meanderer, The Journey Collectables and RHINESTONES – WINE.

Some Moments with Breathe

Hi everyone, Denise here with my second project using the absolutely lovely Breathe collectionIMG_7937-2

I decided to use the blue and white of this collection and add a splash of pink.

Firstly I took  a heart template and drew round it then cut it out from a sheet of Navy Night Paper, taking care to avoid the flowers in the corner.

I then used a pokey tool to pierce all around the edge of the heart, then stitched with white thread.IMG_7940

I then carefully placed the heart that had been cut out into the middle of a piece of Snow Kaisercard and placed the frame of navy paper that had the stitching round the heart over it mounted on to foam tape to add depth over the heart on the card.

I cut out lots of the flowers from what was left and used lots of collectables to add dimension.IMG_7942

My photo was tucked under one side of the heart with some sticker banners from the Sticker Book underneath it .

I also used some of the fussy cut flowers and collectables around the top of the heart .

To finish off I dotted around the outside edges of the layout with a white pen.

and added some Snow Pearls and heart sticker and title from the sticker bookIMG_7937

This is a really beautiful collection and I will be back with my last project using it very soon.

Happy Crafting
