Save the Dates using Something Blue

Hi Everyone,
I have a special project to share with you today! I have created wedding Save the Dates using the Something Blue Collection by Uniquely Creative. It is not very often that you get the opportunity to make this type project, nor have the perfect papers for it! I absolutely love the the blues in this collection and they coordinate so well with the silver glitter cardstock.

To create these Save the Dates I have followed the steps below:

  • Adhere stamped pieces to the silver cardstock and then onto the largest white pieces
  • Adhere fussy cut elements to the stamped side of the invitations
  • Take a “save the date” stamp, stamp it six times, cut out and ink
  • If you desire, add the details and some magnets to the backs

I hope I have inspired you to create something special with the absolutely gorgeous Something Blue Collection!! A step-by-step video tutorial can be found here.

Stay safe and keep crafting!!

Something Blue – He & She

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here with a brand new creation to share. This month I have the pleasure to work with the amazing Kaisercraft collection Something Blue.

MI-He-and-SheI matted the black pattern paper – Mr & Mrs on top of a light blue pattern sheet – I do!.  I added ribbon and paper blossoms, using Kaisercraft Ribbon Roses Ivory and Paper Blooms Coral, to decorate my page.

MI-He-det-aUsing the mini Paper Pad I added different pattern paper layers under my picture to give extra dimension to my page. I added two small resin flowers (Kaisercraft Blossoms – Resin Flowers – Dahlia) to match the colour of the Paper Blooms.

MI-He-det-bTo finish off my design, I added die cuts from the Collectables pack, which I adhered with mounting foam tape. I really love the doilies in the collection – they are perfect for framing the die cut sentiments.

MI-He-det-cI hope I managed to inspire you today!

Come back tomorrow for more fabulous projects from our design team!

Have a great day!

Something Blue – Challenge Inspiration

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here with a brand new layout created for Merly Impressions September Sketch Challenge.

I really love the sketch Pam has drawn for us! It has all the best elements to create a fabulous layout!

Here is what I came up with:

MI-You-Me-web

This month I have the pleasure to work with the amazing Kaisercraft collection Something Blue. This paper line is wedding themed, but as you see you can use it with any romantic pictures you’ve got!

I started with black pattern paper – Mr & Mrs. I drew the white frame along its edge and added the pre-punched Sweet Love pattern paper on top.  I added different pattern paper layers under my picture to give extra dimension to my page. I used the Paper Pad from the same collection.

The original sketch was with two pictures, but I decided to add some of the lovely die cuts from the Collectables pack. I used Liquid Pearls white opal and black onyx to decorate some of them. I adhered them with mounting foam tape.

MI-You-Me-det-c

To decorate my layout I used Kaisercraft Ribbon Roses Ivory, Mini Paper Blooms Coconut and Black.

To finish off I added die cut leaves and black rhinestones.

I hope I managed to inspire you today! And I can’t wait to see your creations!

Don’t forget you’ve got until 2nd of October, 2014 to add your creation to the gallery under the September Challenge post. We will then choose our favourite layout to win a fantastic prize – a £25.00 voucher to spend on anything you want from the Merly Impressions online store.

Have a great day!
