Sweet Baby Girl Album

Hello my crafty friends !!! Margot here today sharing with you an absolutely amazing mini album for a little girl made using  ” Pick-a-Boo “ Kaisercraft collection. I really adore this collection and I’m sure you will love it .

mini-album10First I created a base and covers for my mini album … I decorated a front and back cover using Infant – Pick-a Boo paper . To embellish the front cover I used doily die , next I cut out a tag from Tiny Tot paper and secured it on the top of a doily … and then I adhered gorgeous die-cuts from collectables pack . I also used beautiful Fairy Floss paper flowers , cheesecloth , 3d balls and chipboard decorative element . I finally added touches of white glittered paint onto the design to finish.mini-album-11mini-albummini-album1

Treasured Memories – Finders Keepers

Hi Everyone,

Linda here with my last layout for April with Finders Keepers Collection from Kaisercraft.

IMG_0592 smallI began with some Coconut Kaisercard and gutted the centre 1″ from the edge, then stamped all the way round with the Scalloped Lace stamp and some Faded Jeans Distress Ink. It doesn’t give a crisp image but I quite like the effect on the textured card. Note to self – buy a new craft mat! Apologies! So the corners were tidy, I masked before stamping with a post-it note.

As the main background I chose Collectable, the script side, this was trimmed to 11″ . I have focused on the following pages – Collectors and Montage as sometimes it can be hard to use these so I thought I’d share some ideas.

The panel saying “Breathe it all in” fit perfectly with my photograph but as the words were not appropriate placed my photo here instead having matted it onto Cherry and Buttercup Kaisercard . Photo is 6×4″ with mats 1/4″ bigger. I added Buttercup 1/4 mat to the panel too and gutted the centre.

IMG_0593 smallFrom the sticker sheet I found a phrase that fit and layered it over the “love you forever” tag on Montage and also Cherry and Buttercup Kaisercard, you don’t have to use the words printed. It’s raised on mounting foam tape as is the Collectable which has been shaped and placed over the edge.

IMG_0597 smallThe “Title” was cut from the same sheet, Montage, another mat of Buttercup.

IMG_0596 smallI love the notice board  from Montage but the bicycle didn’t fit my layout so I tucked it under the edge as above. The Collectables has lots of little tags so I added these shaped with an Ice blue gem and a line of black pen to look like pins.

IMG_0594 smallA it of fussy cutting next to add floral embellishments to the corners from Curio with a spattering of Glitter glue.  Finally some gems in Lippy red and ice blue, plus some washi tape and I was done.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, check back soon for another layout by the team.

Until then, take care,

~ Linda ~

Let the sea set you free – Sail Away

Hi Everyone,

Linda here with another layout using the delicious Sail Away collection from Kaisercraft.

I began with Anchor and gutted out the centre as my base. A piece of Ship was cut to 10×5″ using the sky area, inked with Black Soot and attached to the top half with 1″ border. Specialty paper Chains Gloss was cut to the same dimension (with the chains kept horizontal) and then inked with Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers. This was attached below to complete the square.

IMG_9729 smallA strip of Compass was cut to 10″ wide then torn at approximately 4″ and added to the centre. My photographs were printed at 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 ” , trimmed, inked, and added across the centre overlapping the edges.

IMG_9730 smallLots of elements from the Collectables pack were inked and added, first to the bottom left along with a little journalling with a Micron Pen.

IMG_9731 smallThen also to the right side, also adding lots of lovely gems in Ice Blue & Lippy Red. I like to add dimension so raised some up on mounting tape.

IMG_9733 smallI found a lovely sentiment on the Sticker sheet so divided it into 3 pieces and added centrally under my photos. You can also see the effect of the different colours on Chains gloss here when treated with inks.

IMG_9732 smallSome natural string was laid onto the top corner and glued into place with knots at each end, followed by words cut from Rope for my title, backed with Navy Kaisercard.

A few extra Collectables were added above the photo strip plus some words from the Sticker sheet.

I hope you have enjoyed the journey with Sail Away this month.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

~Linda~

You and Me with Provincial

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my first layout post for December. The layout used the gorgeous new Kaisercraft collection ‘Provincial’. There are some lovely colours in this collection but this time I went with the green shades.

011My youngest son was travelling with his girlfriend at the time the photo was taken and they were riding down a river in Vietnam on big black fat tyres which he assures me are called ‘tubing’!

I started off with the weave cardstock ‘Smoke’ as my base and used the paper ‘Chaise’ for the base of the layout then distressed the edges with a distressing tool. I then used one of the papers from the 6×6 pad together with another paper from the collection ‘Porcelain’ for the mats behind the photo. I also used some beautiful natural lace ribbon just above the photo. The embellishments are all from the Collectables pack – there are so many to choose from! These were all inked round the edges with Bundled Sage distress ink and mounted on foam pads to give depth.I also cut the hydrangea at the front out from one of the pages in the 6×6 pad.

The wording at the bottom left side of the layout was cut from a strip on the 12 x 12 Sticker Sheet. The other wording at the top left of the layout was from one of the clear sticker sheets.

Thank you for stopping by and pop back soon for some more inspiration from the talented team !
