Hi Everyone, Today I would like to share with you a quick and easy multi photo layout using the Gums and Roses Collection. I wanted to challenge myself to use more than two photos on a layout this month, so I have created this layout to achieve that goal. I have also made my own flowers for this first time that are featured on this layout. I love the 3D effect that these flowers have.
To create this layout I have followed the steps below:
Hi Everyone, Today I would like to share a gorgeous layout that I have created using the Gums and Roses Collection. I Just love the pink flowers in this collection and when I received this photo from my brothers wedding I couldn’t help but use these papers to frame it.

I hope I have inspired you to create a beautiful pink and white layout with the gorgeous Gums and Roses Collection today. Stay Safe and Happy Crafting!
Hi everyone, I have a special project to share with you today! It is a set of 8 cards and a box to store them in too. I have used the stunning Gums and Roses Collection by Uniquely Creative. I just love all the beautiful flowers and gorgeous Australian wildlife to fussy cut in this collection. I thoroughly used just had to use it for this slightly larger project.
To create the cards in this project I have followed the steps below:
Cut each patterned square from EVERYDAY MOMENTS and FLORAL TAGS AND TITLES. Cut each square into two pieces with the dimensions 9 x 14.2 cm and 6 x 14.2 cm.
Ink the edges of each card and each cut piece with Pink Petal Ink. Adhere one larger cut piece to each prepared card. Foam tape the smaller pieces onto the front of the cards, slightly left of centre.
To create the box in this project I have followed the steps below:
Take an old card board box, I have used one with dimensions 14 x 19 x 6 cm.
Cut FULL BLOOM to two 13.5 x 18.5 cm, two 5.5 x 13.5 cm and two 5.5 x 18.5 cm pieces. Cut KAISERCARD TUTU WEAVE CARDSTOCK to the same dimensions as FULL BLOOM. Adhere cut pieces on the inside and outside of the box as desired.
Using the same techniques described above, stamp the top of the box and then apply texture paste. Adhere a strip of lace along the top of the box and a strip from EVERYDAY MOMENTS on the bottom.
Build a cluster in the centre of the top of the box and the inside of the lid, with fussy cut elements, CREATIVE CUTS and cheesecloth gauze.
If you would like to see the video tutorial I have made for these fancy cards please click here, and for the box please click here. I hope I have inspired you to create something beautiful using the gorgeous roses of the Gums and Roses collection today. Stay Safe and Happy Crafting!
Hi Everyone, Today I would like to share this layout with you that I have created using the gorgeous Gums and Roses Collection. I love the roses in this collection and they just happened to match perfectly with the outfits of the little girls in my photo!
To create this project I have followed to steps below:
Trim strip from Full Bloom and measure a 23 x 23 cm square in the bottom right corner.
Measure an additional a 20 x 20 cm square in the bottom right corner and if desired, cut out.
Ink all straight paper edges with Kaisercraft Petal Ink. Adhere Gum Bouquet to Rose Cardstock and then to the bottom right hand corner of Full Bloom.
Cut a strip of Gum Bouquet (reverse) at 7.7 x 21.8 cm and another of Rosebud Borders at 9 x 23 cm. Adhere to each other and then to the middle of the Gum Bouquet. Adhere photo ~4 cm from the bottom of the layout.

Hello, Karen here with my second project using the ScrapBoys Butterfly Meadow collecton and Uniqolour brush markers.
For this layout I
started by scribbling with a Uniqolour marker on a small plastic bag, using a
colour that co-ordinated with my papers.
I then sprayed it with some water
And dabbed it, in a diagonal line, onto a piece of smooth
white card, repeating this process with two more colours and set aside to dry.
I am using this for the base of my layout. I use the same technique on another piece of
smooth white card but this time covered the whole piece of card. This piece will be used for stamping
butterflies.
Onto the piece of card I am using for my layout base I added some roses using the 6 x 4 Roses Mini Designer Template and some texture paste.
I cut a piece of Butterfly Meadow Paper 01 that measured 12ins tall and 4ins wide and another 4 ins tall and 4.5ins wide. I used a border punch on each of the long sides of the 4 in piece. After layering the 4 in piece onto the 5 in piece I added them to my page 2.5ins from the right.
Next, using Smoke Kaiserink, I stamped lots of butterflies onto the piece of card that I had covered with Uniqolour splodges and fussy cut and die cut them out.
For my photo mat, from the reverse side, I cut a 5.25 square from Paper 03 and a 5.5 square from Paper 04. I used foam mounting dots to layer these up with my photo on the top, keeping the pads away from the edges of the paper and photo, and added to my page 3ins from the top and 2ins from the right.
To complete my page I added a rose at the top left and bottom right of my photo and then clustered butterflies either side of the vertical strip of paper. I used my Silhouette and Paper 03 and Paper 04. to make my title.
It was fun making my own inky background and a really easy way to achieve striking results.
Hi Everyone, Today I am sharing with you some mixed media cards using the Sunny Village Collection by ScrapBoys. I love the summer feel and the bright colours of these papers. I have also used the fabulous UNIQOLOUR MARKERS to create my backgrounds of these cards.
To create these cards I have used the steps below:
For two cards Take the brown and yellow UNIQOLOUR MARKERS and for the other two take the black, deep green and red markers.
Colour a line in the same direction of the texture paste in the darkest colour and then a gradient out. Use the water brush to blend the colours and move then as you wish.
Further embellish with flowers cut from SUNNY VILLAGE – PAPER 04 and your favourite stamps, I have used: CLEAR STAMPS – BOMBAY SUNSET COLLECTION, clear stamps- Magenta Collection (received in thee 2019 retreat kit) and really old Pop! Collection clear stamps.
Hi everyone, Today I would like to share the biggest project that I have created since joining the Merly Impressions Design Team! It is this beautiful album that I have decorated with the gorgeous Fairy Land Collection by ScrapBoys and I have used every single page of this collection for this project. Many of you may recognise this album as it is from the 2017 Merly Impressions Retreat! I know many of you will probably still have them to be used. So here is some inspiration for what you can do with them (3 years later!). I created this album as a gift for an unborn baby so I couldn’t add the photo’s yet but I know the parents like to take many photo’s so I know it is the perfect gift that will be filled up quickly!
To begin with I decorated the outside because I found doing so many pages at once was too over whelming! So I started by preparing a front, back and side strip with KAISERCARD ORCHID WEAVE CARDSTOCK. Under this layer I glued (and taped) three ribbons with different thicknesses so the album could be tied closed. Then a second layer of patterned paper where the front and back were from FAIRY LAND – PAPER 03 and the side strip I made from FAIRY LAND – PAPER 01.
After this step, the back was complete so I focused next on the side where I took a wooden letter E, painted it purple and covered the top surface in DISTRESS STICKLES – DUSTY CONCORD. Once the letter was dry I glued it to the side of the album and left it dry.
Next I moved into the inside covers where I made pockets to store tags with photo’s and notes. I have gone for the animal pairs from FAIRY LAND – PAPER 07 as features for these pockets and more Perfect Pearl toadstools.
Next I moved on to doing the pages of the book, for those that haven’t seen this album before it comes with already made pages so I have just gone ahead and decorated them with the same Fairy Land theme from as the covers.
For the first page I focused on a purple theme with FAIRY LAND – PAPER 01, as the main background and have included a panel for a 7.5 x 5 cm (small) photo. I have embellished the page with some CHEESECLOTH GAUZE and a painted Uniquely Creative laser cut word.
For the next set of pages I have selected purple as the main colour focussing on FAIRY LAND – PAPER 02 and FAIRY LAND – PAPER 06 with one small photo on the right page and a series of manual flip photos on the left hand side. The Flip photo section can hold up to 5 large portrait photos (just smaller than 10.2 x 15.4 cm) is tied down with a green bow on each side.
I have created this set of paged with contrasting colours compared to the rest of the album using KAISERCARD OATMEAL WEAVE CARDSTOCK and KAISERCARD MAROON PREMIUM CARDSTOCK. I was inspired by another project I created with this collection which focuses on the flowers from FAIRY LAND – PAPER 04. I just couldn’t help but bring it in here too. There is space for one 4 x 6 cm photo on each page.
For the last set of double pages I have gone back to the main purple theme but have included a fancy mechanism mini flip album the right page which is better viewed in a video that I will shared on my Roxii’s Craft Studio Instagram and Facebook accounts. The page on the left has a simple pocked with punched edges and two removable tags. The main paper inspiring this set of pages was FAIRY LAND – PAPER 05.
There is also a secret pocket space on the edge of each page for more tags which i have created from left over pieces of the album. I have also added some texture paste rhinestones, laser cut words into the album, as well as lots of Perfect Pearling, stencilling, stamping and edge inking too.
I hope I have inspired you to have a play with this gorgeous collection or with your old retreat album! Stay safe and keep crafting! Xx Roxii xX
Hi everyone, Today I would like to share a layout that I have created with the very, very last pieces that I had left over from the Fairy Land Collection by ScrapBoys. Do you end up with lots of left over pieces from a collection? But never have a whole sheet of the collection left to add them to? Well here is a layout I have created in that exact situation! I collected all the pieces and simply added them to a piece of card stock that I had prepared with a little bit of texture paste.
Hi Everyone, Today I would like to share a fun layout that I have created using the Tropical Dreams Collection by Uniquely Creative. I absolutely love this collection, it is so bright and cheery with the beautiful blue and pink hues. I have many beach photo’s from our Portugal trip last year that suit these papers perfectly. The photo I have used is actually one of me trying to imitate a photo of me that was taken when I was much younger.
This layout actually had an alternative beginning, I have taken an old card board box and cut to 30. 5 x 30.5 cm to form the background. Then I ripped part of the top layer off before painting it in white Gesso and inking over this with Old Paper- Ranger Oxide.
For the next step, I cut UNDER THE SEA – TROPICAL DREAMS COLLECTION to 23.5 cm and ripped the edges before adhering to the centre of the cardboard background. Next, I cut TROPICAL – TROPICAL DREAMS COLLECTION to 20 cm x 30.5 and adhered to the centre of the layout too. For the final preparation of the background I added some texture paste through a Uniquely Creative Stencil.
Next I cut the beige and blue striped rectangles from OCEAN BREEZE – TROPICAL DREAMS COLLECTION two rectangles to frame the photo (10 x 13 cm photo) before adhering to the layout.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my fun and “recycled” layout! I definitely recommend creating some fun projects using the Tropical Dreams Collection. Keep an eye out for the fancy fold cards that I have also created this month using this collection. Be safe, stay healthy and keep crafting! Roxanne xX
Emmy here today sharing a boyish project I created with the lovely Magenta Collection from Kaisercraft (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). I thought of making a black-and-white layout, but then I saw the red flowers and I couldn’t resist adding a bit of red colour. Luckily Kaisercraft have many additional colour-coordinating products, so I could choose from a wide range of embellishments. For my background I used Raspberry pattern paper and Rosa pattern paper. Using Collage 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture Paste I created the white dimensional pattern. Then I cut a 16 x 30 cm stripe from the Rosa pattern paper, distressed its edges using a Paper Distresser and adhered it in the middle of the Raspberry paper.
Once everything was in place, I sprinkled Kaisermist Black on top.
