Dream, Hope, Shine with Wandering Ivy

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today sharing my last layout for this month featuring Kaisercraft’s Wandering Ivy collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). MI-Dream-shine-web-530To create my background I used the Ivy wall pattern paper. Using the Damask Mini Designer Stencil and Distress Ink Pad – Peeled Paint I created the extra green pattern on top of the pattern paper and then KaiserMist Spray Ink – White on top.MI-dream-shine-det-a (1)Then I carefully separated some of the leaves from the top side of the pattern paper using a craft knife. MI-dream-shine-det-a (8)For the layers under my picture I used pattern papers and pre cut borders from the Paper Pad. Enjoy the Little Things with Wandering Ivy

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today sharing a brand new layout I designed featuring Kaisercraft’s Wandering Ivy collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). MI-Enjoy-web-530For my background I used the Panelling pattern paper, which I layered on top of Blue Posy pattern paper. Before adhering the two layers together I distressed the edges of the Panelling pattern paper using Paper Distresser and piercing tool. Using the Damask Mini Designer Stencil and Distress Ink Pad – Stormy I created the extra blue pattern in the middle of my page. Once the ink has dried I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Denim and KaiserMist Spray Ink – White on top.MI-Enjoy-det- (1)For the layers under my picture I used pattern papers and pre cut borders from the Paper Pad. I Love You Always with Wandering Ivy

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here with my very first post for 2018! This month I have the pleasure of designing with one of my favourite Kaisercraft collections from December last year – Wandering Ivy (available at Merly Impressions’ online store). This collection has tons of floral images and a beautiful palette of greens and blues, which makes it perfect for both boy and girl layouts.

MI-I-love-you-web-530

For my background I used the white Victorian embossed paper. To reveal the embossed pattern I coloured a part of the paper with Mini Distress Ink Pad – Peeled Paint and added the black pattern on top using Clear Stamp – Diamonds and Ink Pad – Black. Once I was satisfied with the result, I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Charcoal and KaiserMist Spray Ink – Lime Green on top.MI-I-love-you-det- (1)

To create the layered under my picture I used pattern papers from the Paper Pad, which after distressing their edges with Paper Distresser, I adhered using Mounting Foam TapeMI-I-love-you-det- (7)

I die cut various shapes using Kaisercard Licorice Weave Cardstock and different Decorative Dies (ArrowsTreasured Words and texture Cobblestone). MI-I-love-you-det- (4) MI-I-love-you-det- (2) MI-I-love-you-det- (5)

To decorate my page I added pre-cut elements from the Collectables Pack and I arranged a sort of a frame around my picture using Jute Cord – NaturalMI-I-love-you-det- (6)MI-I-love-you-det- (3)

As a final touch I added a few Epoxy Stickers – Monochrome and green dots.

January 13th 2018 – Merly Crop Kit layout preview

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year to you all.

The January 2018 Merly Crop will soon be upon us so here are the details and sneak peeks of the layouts that you will be able to create using the kit. For this kit I have used papers from the beautiful “Wandering Ivy” Kaisercraft collection.

23915823_10154817758675356_1000910507636200995_nAlso supplied in the kit are DMC white cotton, white Kaisercard, rhinestones, paper templates and detailed instructions with coloured photo’s for you to follow, so you can then create the two layouts that I have designed at your own pace.

Below are some sneak peeks of the first layout which I’ve called “Reasons To Be Happy” I have used a black & white photo measuring 13cm wide x 9cm high. The layout features beautiful fussy cut flowers, leaves and some stitched swirls. (a template will be supplied in the kit for the stitched swirls and a template for the paper flourishes).

This layout also features beautiful fussy cut flowers & flourishes in all sorts of sizes & a little stitching. I have used some crystal lacquer on some of the fussy cut elements and blue & white mists from my own stash. There is also a little punching, this punch will be supplied at the crop.

We will however have a selection of ink pads & Foam dots/roll & the crystal lacquer available to purchase in the on site Merly shop. A swirl pricking paper template is provided in the kit, but you will need to bring a pricking tool and a mat.

I have also used the WRMK Sew Easy Tool – and a Martha Stewart Vintage Doily edge punch, these will be available to use at the crop along with our usual supply of tools including the Big Shot machine & other punches.

The location of the crop, together with other details and future dates can be found on our Crop Dates page. We also have a crop/retreat facebook page, where you can see more sneak peeks and details of up and coming events and where you can also post your finished layouts.

At the crop we will also have our usual FABULOUS Merly Impressions Shop where you can purchase all the latest Kaisercraft goodies, including the new December & January releases and all our other Kaisercraft, Tim Holtz, ScrapFX,  G45 & Little Birdie goodies. Extra kits will also be available to purchase at the crop. Just ask Paul for them.

2017-11-18 09.33.48Tea, coffee and a selection of biscuits, chocolates & snacks will be available throughout the day. You will need to bring your own lunch and your usual supply of crafting tools.

2017-11-18 09.35.43See you all on Saturday 13th January 2017 at 10am (not before as we will be very busy getting ready, please wait outside if you do turn up really early) – until 4pm. The cost for the day & kit is £25.00, payable on the day, we take cash and/or cards.
