Thankful & Blessed with Wonderland

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today with my last post for October. This time I used the beautiful Wonderland collection from Kaisercraft (available at Merly Impressions online store) to create a magical Christmas layout. MI-thankful-web530For my background I used Kaisercard Navy Weave Cardstock and Snowfall pattern paper. I cut off 1 cm from each side of the pattern paper, distressed its edges using a Paper distresser and a Piercing Tool and adhered it on top of the Cardstock. Then I used the Nordic Weave 6×6 Designer Stencil and red glitter paste to create the glistering layer. As a final touch I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – White on top of all layers. MI-thankful-det-a

I layered my picture on a slightly larger panel of Kaisercard Coconut Weave Cardstock. Then I adhered it on top of patter papers from the Paper pad. I used Mounting Foam Tape to give extra dimension to my page.MI-thankful-det-b

I used different pre-cut embellishments from the Collectables pack and stickers from the Sticker Sheet to decorate my picture.MI-thankful-det-c MI-thankful-det-d MI-thankful-det-e

For my title I used quotes from the Sticker SheetMI-thankful-det-fI added Rhinestones – Red to finish off my design.  MI-thankful-det-g MI-thankful-det-h

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have a wonderful creative weekend!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland with Wonderland

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my final project using the beautiful Wonderland collection

IMG_4579 resize banner

I started by using the special Advent Foil Paper . I couldn’t decide whether to cut the squares  out or to leave them all together. I decided they kind of told a story all together so I split the frame away first. I cut a piece of Coconut Weave card down by half an inch on two adjacent sides, then used a Sew Easy stitch piercer around the frame, then stitched with smokey green thread.IMG_4563

IMG_4564

Next, I sprayed some Aqua Kaisermist over the white card, then adhered the card onto the paper frame, then added the foil paper square on to the card.

I matted my photos on to some white card and placed them in the middle of the layout.

Some die cuts from the Collectables pack were added to some of the squares and mounted on to foam tape to add dimension.IMG_4585

I also used lots of items from the Sticker Pad and Sticker Sheet to embellish around the layout as well.IMG_4579 (2)

I added some little aqua rhinestones on to the trees on the layout for some added bling.

I hope you enjoyed the projects as much as I have enjoyed making them!

Happy scrapping !

Believe in the Magic with Wonderland

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my second layout using the Wonderland Kaisercraft Collection.

IMG_4435resizedbanner

I started off by using a sheet of Frost paper for the base of my layout. Next I took a sheet of Powder Blue  card stock which I cut down to 11.5 x 11.5 inches. I pierced around the layout then stitched with some navy thread.

Next I took some sheets from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, then embossed them with the Snowflake embossing folder

IMG_4238

I spritzed the whole white card with some teal and denim Kaiserrmist then flicked some white over the top together with some Scattered Straw distress ink.

I cut the papers into strips then laid them across the middle in a random order, then placed my photo on top which was matted using paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 pad. I then adhered this to the background.

Time to embellish now! I used lots of snowflake and star stickers from the sticker pad

IMG_4430

and die cuts from the Collectables PackIMG_4429IMG_4431IMG_4439

Some of these were mounted on foam tape.

Finally I dotted a few silver gems on to the snowflakes .

I am loving this collection and will be back soon with another project.

Happy crafting !

Peace and Joy with Wonderland

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today with my first post for October. This month I have the pleasure of working with the amazing Wonderland collection from Kaisercraft’s newest release (available at Merly Impressions online store). This paper line is perfect for any kind of winter themed pictures – from your Christmas pictures to the “fun in the snow” pictures – there are various embellishments and cute images to scrap them all. MI-Peace-web530For my background I used the Chilled pattern paper and Snowflake die-cut paper. I distressed the edges of the Chilled pattern paper using a Paper distresser and a Piercing Tool and then, using Texture paste and Nordic Weave 6×6 Designer Stencil, I created the white dimensional pattern. Once the paste has dried, adhered the Snowflake die-cut paper with Mounting Foam Tape and I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – White on top of both layers. MI-peace-det-aMI-peace-det-b

I distressed the edges of my picture and adhered it on top of the die cut paper. Then using pre-cut embellishments from the the Paper pad and the Collectables pack and fussy cut images from the pattern papers, I assembled my design. MI-peace-det-c MI-peace-det-d

For my title I used a quote from the Sticker Sheet, which I layered on top of a slightly larger stripe of Kaisercard Coconut Weave CardstockMI-Peace-det-e

As a final touch I added “snow” to my winter trees, Pearls – Snow and Rhinestones – Dark BlueMI-peace-det-f MI-peace-det-g

I hope you liked today’s post!

All roads lead to home with Wonderland

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my first project using the lovely Wonderland Kaisercraft collection.

IMG_4185-banner

As always from Kaisercraft there is a great variation in colours to use. Not only are there crisp pale greens and navy blues but also the addition of teals and browns for an extra pop of warmth in this collection.

I had a lovely photo of my dog sitting by the tree watching the snow last year and to me it really sums up the feel of Christmas.

I started by using a sheet of Snow Scene paper which I added a strip of Snowfall paper to across the top. Next I added a manufacturer’s strip across the join of the papers and picked out some lovely collectables to add.

IMG_4165

I fussy cut a snowflake from the snowfall paper and inked round it with the Lagoon mini ink pad

IMG_4167

I used three papers from the Paper Pad to mat my photo on and placed over on the right hand side in the middle of the layout.

IMG_4166

Now it was time to embellish ! I used a lot of Collectables and also items from the Paper Pad all around the layout. Most of them were layered up with foam tape to give height and dimension and inked with the Lagoon mini ink pad.IMG_4169

I tucked scalloped strips from the paper pad  just under my photo.IMG_4174

Kaisercraft have recently bought out new Sticker Pads, I used some items from there as well . This snowflake was a sticker which I inked around and tucked under the side.IMG_4175

IMG_4185-banner

These little words were from the Sticker Pad too.

I also used the Stitched Star Decorative Die as an embellishment.

I hope you have enjoyed this project as much as I have enjoyed making it and the team will be back again very soon with more inspiration .
