How will I know when my order has been sent?

Within a short time of shipping your order we will send an (automated) email to the address you registered when placing your order. Please ensure you double-check the email address you give us because, if it is incorrect, you will not receive the notification emails we send

Why is my order taking so long to be delivered?

Most customers (we reckon about 80%) receive their orders within one day of shipping. The majority of the remaining customers receive their orders within two days but a very small percentage of orders are delayed for a longer time.

Delays are usually the result of problems associated with delivery. Sometimes Royal Mail will leave a card to say they have attempted a delivery although we have known cases where they have not. The package can sometimes be left at a neighbours house or will sometimes be returned to your local sorting office. If your package has not arrived after a few days you should explore both these options.

Please note that we cannot chase your package or explain why it may be delayed. Once the package is handed to Royal Mail we have no control over when it is delivered and, if it is delayed, we have to wait for 15 days before we can ask Royal Mail to begin a search for it (they will not help us, the sender, before that time).

Why has my credit card been rejected at the checkout?

We use a couple of secure payment providers - Nochex and Paypal. Both of these allow our customers to pay using credit or debit cards. Please note however that we never, ever see your credit card details - they are handled entirely within a secure card payment system and we cannot see any of those details.

If the payment fails at the point that you are entering your credit card details then the problem is between the bank and/or credit card company and/or credit card processor. We would suggest that you follow the instructions on screen and contact your bank or credit card company to resolve the problem.

Does Merly Impressions deliver to the USA, Canada or other non-European countries?

No, we do not deliver to non-European countries. We have been asked this a few times over the last few years but we have never found a cost effective method of shipping to distant places.

Is our shop open for visitors?

No, we are an online business only and are not open to the public.

What is the best glue to use when assembling Beyond-the-Page projects?

Kaisercraft Beyond-the-Page products are made from MDF and are best assembled with a wood glue such as Evo-stik Wood Adhesive. Some people have successfully used Crystal Lacquer but we believe that wood glue is the most appropriate.
