July Crop – Sneak Peeks

We’ve been working hard to make sure that we are ready for the Merly Impressions Crop next weekend. For those who choose to purchase the optional kit, as promised here are some sneak peaks of two layouts using the crop kit.

The kit will include papers from the recently released Kaisercraft Blae & Ivy collection as well as matching embellishments and matching Bazzill cardstock. We have put together two layouts based on the kit ( with careful cutting you should be able to produce both layouts with a single kit) although you are, of course, free to adapt them in any way you wish.

For the first layout (“Peaceful”), you will need either three photo’s each about 5.5cm wide by 7.5cm high or one long photo of about 16.5cm wide by 7.5cm high (which you can optionally cut into three to create a panoramic trio as I have done). The colour scheme for this layout is Blue, Grey, Cream and Beige.

For the second layout (“Ice Cream”), I have used three small 5cm x 5cm square photo’s and one 10.5cm x 10.5cm square photo. I chose to print my photos in black & white but photos to match the colour scheme of Blue, Grey, Cream, Beige and a touch of Green would work equally well.

There is some stitching on both layouts using the Sew Easy tool (which we will bring along) but this is entirely optional. Everything used on the layouts will be supplied – you only have to bring along your usual scrapping tools and a needle if you want to do the stitching. The flowers on the layouts are made using Sizzix dies and a Big Shot machine both of which will be available at the crop. We’ll also bring a variety of other dies for the Big Shot as well as a Cricut Expression 2 with a few cartridges.

The crop kit will come complete with instructions and photo’s of the finished layouts. We will bring enough kits for everyone.

See you all on the 16th of July.

  1. Hi Chrissy, the pack looks absolutely great. I wish I could come but it’s just a bit too far at the moment. I hope you all have a really wonderful time and that it proves a great success. Love Jane x
