“A Miracle” with Blessed

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today sharing my last project for this month featuring Kaisercraft’s Blessed paper line (available at Merly Impressions online store). For today’s post I decided to go with a pink-black colour palette and a lot of fussy cut embellishments. MI-miracle-web530To create my background I used the 12″ Miracles pattern paper and the matching glossy sheet from the Paper pad. For the white dimensional pattern I used Waffle 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture paste. Once the paste has dried I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Rose Gold on top. MI-miracle-det-aBefore adhering my picture in the middle of the glossy paper from the the Paper pad, I layered it on a slightly larger panel of Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock. Then I punched the two long edges of the pattern paper with an edge punch. I adhered the different layers using Mounting Foam Tape.

Then I fussy cut black and white flowers from the Blissful pattern paper and arranged them as shown above. Before adhering them with Mounting Foam Tape, I stamped the foliage image around (Clear Stamps – Blessed Collection and Ink Pad – Black).MI-miracle-det-b MI-miracle-det-cI added also die cuts from the Collectables pack, stickers from the Sticker Sheet and a lot of inspirational quotes from the Paper pad.

The small black and white hearts I fussy cut from a glossy paper from the the Paper pad. To adhered them I used Mounting Foam DotsMI-miracle-det-d MI-miracle-det-eFor my title I used a cut off stripe from one of the pattern papers. MI-miracle-det-f
As a final touch I added Rhinestones – Black, Rhinestones – Champagne and Epoxy Stickers – Candy.  MI-miracle-det-g MI-miracle-det-h

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have a lovely creative week and come back soon!

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here today with my first post for February! For today’s post I decided to create an orange boyish page featuring Texture Dies and Designer Stencils.

MI-Always-full-web530

For my background I used the 12″ Give Thanks pattern paper and the matching sheet from the Paper pad. I added the white dimensional pattern using Waffle 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture paste. Once the paste has dried I distressed the edges of the 6″ pattern paper with Paper Distresser and a piercing tool and adhered it in the middle. Then I sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – White 50ml on top. MI-Always-full-det-a

I layered my picture on a slightly larger panel of Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock and adhered it using Mounting Foam Tape in the middle of my background. Then I die cut two white edges (Decorative Die – Texture Burlap and Kaisercard Snow Weave Cardstock) and added them next to the photograph. MI-Always-full-det-b

To decorate my page I used different die cuts from the Collectables pack, stickers from the Sticker Sheet and a lot of inspirational quotes from the Paper pad. I inked the edges of some of them using Ink Pad – BlackMI-Always-full-det-c MI-Always-full-det-d MI-Always-full-det-e

The small black and white hearts I fussy cut from a glossy paper from the the Paper pad. To adhered them I used Mounting Foam DotsMI-Always-full-det-f MI-Always-full-det-g

January 2019 Merly Crop Kit

Hi Everyone,
What a fabulous and productive day we had yesterday and thank you so very much to everyone who attended our first crop of 2019 – and made the day so very special indeed. What a fun day we had of crafting, chatting, eating cake and catching up with everyone, we also had a few new people, we hope they and everyone else who attended the January crop enjoyed the day and enjoyed making their layouts from the January kit.

For the kit I used the beautiful “Blessed” Kaisercraft collection. Included in the crop kit were detailed instructions and stash to make a double page layout and a single page layout.

Below are photo’s of the layouts I created for the kit. Here is the first double page layout which I called: “Love”  – My double page layout features beautiful fussy cut flowers and foliage, flourish & butterfly die-cuts, stitching and a splattering of pink candy Kaisermist.

……and here is the second layout which I’ve called: “So Very Thankful” – For this layout I have fussy cut the pretty, bright flowers from a couple of the papers which add lovely pops of colour and I have also cut out and layered up some of the frames, the layout is finished with some hand stitching and a little light misting & some black rhinestones.

1-1800

The kit is now available to purchase in the Merly Impressions on-line shop – it can be found in the Layout Kits section of the website.

I just want to say a massive thank you!!!! to everyone that attended our January crop which made it such a very special day. We look forward to seeing your finished layouts using my kit over on the Merly Crop Facebook page.

Below are a few photo’s of the day.

January 19th 2019 – Merly Crop & Layout kit preview

Hi Everyone,

The 19th January 2019 Merly Crop will soon be upon us, so here are the details of the crop and sneak peeks of the layouts that you will be able to create using the kit.

For the kit I have used papers from the beautiful Blessed Kaisercraft collection.

Also supplied in the kit are 8 meters of pink DMC thread, 4 x Kaiser card in black, pink & white, black Rhinestones and detailed instructions with coloured photo’s for you to follow, so you can create the three layouts that I have designed, at your own pace.

Below are some sneak peeks of the first layout which I’ve called “So Very Thankful”

For this layout I have used one coloured photo which measures 9.5cm wide x 12cm high. (A black & white photo would also work). I have fussy cut the pretty, bright pink, orange & green flowers from a couple of the papers which add lovely pops of colour to the layout and I have also cut out and layered up some of the colour coordinating frames from another paper, the layout is finished with some hand stitching along the top and bottom of the layout and in between the frames, there is also a little light misting around the flower bunches & some black rhinestones.

Below are some sneak peeks of the second double page layout which I’ve called “Love”

For this double page I have focused on using the black & white papers from the collection with a splash of pink from the card stock,  Kaisermist & stitching. The double page features beautiful fussy cut black & white flowers and foliage. Flourish & butterfly die-cuts, stitching and a splattering of pink candy Kaisermist. I have also embossed some of the pink Kaisercard using the Daisies embossing folder – my two coloured photo’s are matted onto a large cut out card heart which joins the two layouts together. (there will be a template to use at the crop for the heart shape). The photo’s measure 10.5cm wide by 15.5cm high, this includes the white border around them. Black & white photo’s would also work.

Other items used on the layouts which you may want to bring are a corner punch a colour coordinating ink pad, I have used the Berry mini Kaisercraft ink pad for inking around the edges, the Flamingo ink pad would also work. A needle for sewing (if you want to do it) foam pads and a small pair of scissors as there is some fussy cutting on both layouts. We will however have a selection of ink pads & Foam dots/roll, available to purchase in the on site Merly shop.

I have also used the WRMK Sew Easy Tool, the Daises Embossing Folder, the Decorative die Swirl Flourish a butterfly punch & Candy Kaisermist I will bring these items to the crop for people to use and our usual supply of tools including the Big Shot machine & a small selection of other punches and dies.
