Laugh, Love, Live with Breathe

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my final project using the Breathe Kaisercraft collection.

I used a piece of 12 x 12 Anchor cardstock to make the tags, which I drew. I measured so that each tag measured 3.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches long, but cut them all out as one and scored down the middle pieces to fold them inwards.

I then cut some Joyful Days paper  into three separate tag shapes measuring a quarter of an inch smaller all round than the blue ones and adhered them to the base.

Next, I took the Leafy 6×6 Designer Stencil, and used Chipped Sapphire Distress ink to ink through onto the tags.

Once I had done this I matted my small photos on to a piece of paper from the Paper Pad.

Then it was time to embellish with lots of Collectables and Stickers from the Sticker Book.

I also added some Snow Pearls and inked around the edges of the elements.IMG_8385

To finish off, I added little white ribbon bows from my stash.

We will all be back very soon with some more inspiration using some fab new collections.

Traveller’s Notebook with Breathe

Karen here with my last project using the Breathe collection from Kaisercraft. This time I decided to experiment with a Travelers Notebook.  I have wanted to use one of these for ages and bought a set of three, complete with a leather cover.

For this project the papers I have used are Blue Blush, Mosiac Stroke, Pale Wander, Floral Twilight and Clear Skys.  In addition I used the Sticker Book, Clear Stamps, 6.5x 6.5 Paper Pad, Collectables and Die and Stamp Set.

IMG_7521For this page I used a 2 x 4 phrase from  Clear Skys and the pink feather design from the 6.5x 6.5 Paper Pad the Sticker Book, , Collectables and Die and Steamp Set.

Some Moments with Breathe

Hi everyone, Denise here with my second project using the absolutely lovely Breathe collectionIMG_7937-2

I decided to use the blue and white of this collection and add a splash of pink.

Firstly I took  a heart template and drew round it then cut it out from a sheet of Navy Night Paper, taking care to avoid the flowers in the corner.

I then used a pokey tool to pierce all around the edge of the heart, then stitched with white thread.IMG_7940

I then carefully placed the heart that had been cut out into the middle of a piece of Snow Kaisercard and placed the frame of navy paper that had the stitching round the heart over it mounted on to foam tape to add depth over the heart on the card.

I cut out lots of the flowers from what was left and used lots of collectables to add dimension.IMG_7942

My photo was tucked under one side of the heart with some sticker banners from the Sticker Book underneath it .

I also used some of the fussy cut flowers and collectables around the top of the heart .

To finish off I dotted around the outside edges of the layout with a white pen.

and added some Snow Pearls and heart sticker and title from the sticker bookIMG_7937

This is a really beautiful collection and I will be back with my last project using it very soon.

Be You with Breathe

Karen here with my second post for April.  Now I know I say it every month about the collection I am working with and every month it’s true – I really, really love this month’s range – Breathe.

Be You_edited-1

For this layout I have used Kaisercard Anchor Weave Cardstock, Floral Twilight paper, Sticker Book, Collectables, 6.5 x 6.5 Paper Pad, Curios, Leaves Mini Designer Stencil and Chocolate Pearls.

I especially like how so many of the items in this range have the same cute leaf pattern and wanted to focus on that.

I started by cutting the Floral Twilight paper to 6in x 11/5 ins and added to the top of my cardstock, leaving a .25 border at each side and the top.

Next I cut one of the border stickers from the Sticker Book, in half and added both sides at the bottom of my paper.

I then used the Leaves Mini Designer Stencil and a white gel pen to draw the leaf pattern four times at the bottom of my page – moving the stencil down a little each time to give some verity to the pattern.

I used two sheets of paper from the 6.5 x 6.5 Paper Pad to mount my photo and then added a phrase sticker from the Sticker Book under my photo. This was added to the centre of my page above the drawn leaf pattern.

I used a doily, from my own supplies, at the top left of my photo and then built up clusters of embellishments at the top left and bottom right of my photo using stickers, die cuts from the paper pad, collectables, and a Curio. The final touch was to add some Chocolate Pearls to the centre of the small flowers and as ‘berries’ to the sprigs.

This layout came together really quickly and I am busy plotting and planning my next two projects.

Until next time I hope you find the time to be a bit crafty this month.

Wonderful with Breathe

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my first layout using the beautiful Breathe collection.

IMG_7892-R banner

I started by using a sheet of dark blue Mosaic Stroke paper.

Using the packaging technique, I splodged some Aged Mahogany Distress Ink sprayed with water on  the background, then once this was dried used some Texture Paste through the matching Leafy 6×6 Stencil  on a sheet of the pink feathery side of Soft Pastel .

Next I took some papers from the Paper Pad and layered  them in the middle.

I used lots of stickers from the Sticker Book to decorate around the layout, together with some of the Collectables.

Lastly I dotted some Snow Pearls around the collectables .

This is a stunning collection and I can’t wait to start on  my next project, thanks for popping by and do come back for some  more inspiration from the team.
