Afternoon Tea with Fleur

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my third project using the Fleur Kaisercraft collection. My brief was to make a 3d project so I decided to make a little fold up book. These are not new and you can find instructions on the internet, but I will explain how to make it in this post.

Using White  Kaisercard  cut three 15cm squares and Ballet cardstock cut two 8cm squares. Make sure the squares are accurate so that the book folds neatly.

Take the three white squares and fold each one in half  widthways then fold again lengthways and open out.

Next, fold diagonally just once then line the three squares up as shown below with the diagonal line going vertically and one corner square of each overlapping the next one. Apply glue to the three overlapping squares and stick together.

Now pinch the top horizontal folds inwards, the middle outwards and bottom inwards then press the top and bottom squares down flat.IMG_0876 IMG_0877

Stick the pink squares to the top and bottom squares as the covers. Now the book is made, time to decorate it with your photos and papers.

I used papers from the  6.5 x 6.5  paper pad  and stickers from the Sticker Sheet  and Collectables Pack  to decorate together with photographs. The triangles were made from  7cm squares that are cut in half diagonally. My photos were also 7cm square ( I cut mine down from ones that measured 6×4 inches )

This is a really cute little book and quite effective when folded and opened. Once you get the idea you could adapt it as a larger one too.

I really enjoyed making this and hope you like it !

Sweetest Memories with Fleur

Hi everyone,

Denise here with another layout using the fabulous Fleur Kaisercraft collection.

IMG_0852-resized-banner

I used many stickers from the Sticker Sheet as well as lots of die cuts from the Collectables pack on this layout.

Firsly I used a sheet of Licorice weave cardstock as the base of my layout. Then I used a combination of papers to mat on to the card base. I used XOXO ( the pink side and the stripey side ) together with the pink and gold spotty Loveable paper. I decided to sew some stars on to the pink floral side of the Loveable paper so I pierced two stars then stitched them with some green thread.

I then cut out  tiny stars to go inside . I also flicked  some Antique Gold Kaisermist over the pink florally paper.

Next I layered some papers from the 6.5 x6.5 paper pad under my photos and distressed the edges, using a paper distresser tool.

I used lots of elements from the Sticker Sheet and Collectables to embellish the layout.

Just to finish off I dotted around the edges with a white pen .

This is a really lovely collection to work with, I hope you have enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Amazing with Fleur

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my first project using the beautiful new Fleur Kaisercraft collection.

IMG_0657-resized and bannerI used a piece of White Kaisercard for my base.I took the Vines stencil.then sprayed it gently with Peach Kaisermist on the bottom of the white card.

After spraying, I dabbed gently with a kitchen roll to mute the colour.

Next for some hole piercing ! I used a pokey tool to pierce the stems and leaves of the pattern, then used some peach thread to sew the vines to add texture and interest.

Next I cut a frame one inch wide from the Lovable paper and  placed it over the white card.My photo was placed on the left hand side mounted on two papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 pad.

I used lots of Collectables, fussy cut flowers and Stickers from the Sticker Sheet to embellish around the layout.

I really enjoyed using the stencil and sewing on top of it for a change, it was relaxing to sit and sew the vines. I hope you’re inspired to have a play !
