Mixed Media tag with Havana Nights

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here with my last post for February. This time I decided to go mixed-media creating a tag featuring Kaisercraft’s Havana Nights collection (available at Merly Impressions’ online store).MI-mixed-media-tag-web-530And here is a short tutorial on how I did it:

MI-mixed-media-tag-det-a (1)For the base of my tag I used a ready-made tag from Ranger. I added colour to it by blending Distress Ink Pad – Tea Dye with Distress Ink Pad – Vintage Photo. MI-mixed-media-tag-det-a (2)Then I picked two of the pattern papers from the Havana Nights collection, Ferns and Clay, and I cut tow panels slightly smaller then the tag base. MI-mixed-media-tag-det-a (3)Using the Clear Stamps set matching the collection and Ink Pad – Bark I added the folaige pattern on one of the panels. Then using the Foliage Mini Designer Stencil with Texture Paste I added the white dimensional pattern on top of it. MI-mixed-media-tag-det-b (1)Once everything has dried, I distressed the edges of the pattern paper panels and sprinkled KaiserMist Spray Ink – Antique Gold and KaiserMist Spray Ink – Denim on top of all the layers. MI-mixed-media-tag-det-b (2)I used various die cut elements and pre cut embellishments to create my tag.

MI-mixed-media-tag-det-c (2)For the die cut elements I used Decorative Die – Texture Woven, Film Edges die, Mini Foliage die and various pattern papers from the  Paper Pad. I used pre cut embellishments from the Collectables Pack and the Paper Pad. To adhere everything together I used Mounting Foam TapeMI-mixed-media-tag-det-c (1)For the flower spread I used  Paper Blooms – Coral and die cut foliage, which I embellished with Rhinestones – SilverMI-mixed-media-tag-det-d (2)As a final touch I tied White LaceJute Cord – Grey and Mixed Hemp Cord – Ocean together.MI-mixed-media-tag-det-d (3)I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have an amazing weekend!

Going Pink with Havana Nights

Hi everyone,

Denise here with  two projects using the Havana Nights Kaisercraft Collection.

File 19-02-2018, 10 39 22-resized banner

My first is a layout concentrating on the pinks in the collection. I used a sheet of Lollipop Kaisercard for my base .

Next I took the sheet of Ceramic paper and cut out lots of the squares.Ceramic - Havana Nights Collection

I laid them out on the right hand side of the page in a grid type format. Next I matted my photo on to some Coconut Weave Kaisercard then placed it to the left of the squares.

I fussy cut some big flowers from the Tropic paper and tucked them under left side of the photo.

I used lots of die cuts from the Collectables pack around my photo and on the squares.IMG_8935

I also used some Epoxy Stickers and some Hot Pink Rhinestones to embellish

My second project was some gift boxes.IMG_8958-resized banner

These were made using the Ferns and Balmy 12 x 12  papers  and Exotic from the 6.5 x6.5  pad.

I used some of the tags from the 6.5 x 6.5  pad too.

These were fun to  make for a change and the quality of the papers endures they are strong enoughIMG_8956 resizedIMG_8953 resized

Thank you for popping by and do come back to see some more lovely inspiration from the team very soon!

Perfect Good Times with Havana Nights

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Emmy here with my sharing a brand new project I created featuring Kaisercraft’s  Havana Nights collection and designer stencils (available at Merly Impressions’ online store).

MI-Have-adventures-web-530For my background I used Mosaic Tile and Tropic pattern paper. I cut off 0.5 cm from each side of the Tropic pattern paper, distress its edges using Paper Distresser and adhered it on top of the  Mosaic Tile pattern paper using double sided tape. Then, using the Waffle 6×6 Designer Stencil and Texture Paste, I’ve created the white pattern in the middle of my background.

MI-Have-adventures-det-a (1)To decorate my picture I used sticker stripes from the  the Sticker Sheet, pre cut quotes from the Collectables Pack and the Paper PadMI-Have-adventures-det-a (2) MI-Have-adventures-det-a (7) MI-Have-adventures-det-a (6)

I embellished some of the stickers and the die cuts using Rhinestones – Orange. MI-Have-adventures-det-a (5)For my title I used a cut-off stripe from one of the pattern papers. I adhered it with  Mounting Foam Tape and decorated it Rhinestones – SilverMI-Have-adventures-det-a (4)As a final touch I’ve added a few paper flowers (Paper Blooms – Coconut and Paper Blooms – Coral) and die cut leaves using Decorative Die – Mini Foliage and Kaisercard Coconut Weave CardstockMI-Have-adventures-det-a (3)I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Finding Pluto with Havana Nights

Hello everyone,

Denise here with another layout using the beautiful Havana Nights Kaisercraft collection.

IMG_8806-BANNER ResizedI started off by using the bamboo side of the Lush paper, next I took the woodgrain side of Mosaic Tile paper, cut it down on two sides by half an inch then placed it onto the background.

I used some of the papers from the  6.5 x 6.5  paper pad to make a diagonal mat on to the woodgrain paper over on the left hand side.

I took some Texture Paste through a  Grid Stencil just on the edge of the mat on the left side.

Now time for some stamping using the matching stamp set

I used a Versamark sticky ink to stamp a mosaic, flower and fern numerous times then used white embossing powder and set with a heat gun. This was done using a woodgrain paper from the 6.5 x 6.5  pad.

I then fussy cut them all out, so relaxing !

Once I’d fussy cut them all I placed them around the top and bottom of the layout on the left hand side.

My photo was matted on to some papers from the 6.5 x 6.5  pad and placed on the left hand side also.

I used some of the die cuts from the Collectables Pack raised on foam tape around the photo.

I also used some of the Epoxy stickers and some Pink Hemp Twine around and under the die cuts.

Lastly, I masked off the left hand side, then flicked and spritzed with some watered down White paint and Charcoal Kaisermist

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have been inspired !

Living the dream with Havana Nights

Hello everyone,

Denise here with my first project using the Havana Nights Kaisercraft collection.

IMG_8721I love the summery tones in this collection and have used the stamps that go with the collection around the layout.

I started by using the pastel stripy side of the Exotic paper as my base, then cut down a piece of  Coconut Weave Kaisercard by 1/4 of an inch on two adjacent sides.

Next I used the Sew Easy Tool stitch piercer to pierce around two corners, then stitched with some pale green thread.

I  stuck my card to the base, then used lots of rectangles of papers from the 6.5 x 6.5  pad to mat across the top half of the page. Trying them in all sorts of different orders together with one of the sentiments from the Ferns paper.  I like to use the pad for this quite often as the patterns are the same as the main collection but on a smaller scale so it gives more variety to your page, then matted my photo on some of the same papers then placed on the layers.

IMG_8677When I was happy with the order I started stamping with the lovely co – ordinating stamp set .

I used the outline flower and solid flower and one of the mosaic type squares to stamp around the layout with a variety of distress inks, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, Seedless Preserves and Worn Lipstick.

IMG_8680 IMG_8691I used a piece of card to mask off where I didn’t want to stamp on the papers, cut the little solid flower out and tucked it under a triangular piece of mosaic paper in the left hand bottom corner. I also fussy cut some of the flowers from the paper pad and layered them with foam tape on this corner.

IMG_8700 IMG_8718I also used some of the die cuts from the Collectables to embellish the layout and some pink hearts from the Epoxy Stickers .

IMG_8699I hope you have been inspired by this collection, happy crafting !
