In the kit you will get the Rosabella Paper Pack which includes 12 sheets of paper and a bonus sticker sheet, you will also receive 1 skein of DMC thread and some Kaisercard……and the usual detailed instructions with coloured photo’s for you to follow, so you can create the Double Page layout that I have designed, at your own pace.

Below are some sneak peeks & details of the Double Page layout which I’ve called Beauty is in the Heart”

This Double Page layout features flowers and patterns highlighted in vintage inspired natural tones and also features three black & white photo’s all measuring about 9.5cm wide x 14cm high, It also features fussy cut flowers, stitching & some stamping, the lace border stamp will be available to use at the crop – It is from the “Rosabella’ stamp set, we do have a few in stock, or use the sticker sheet enclosed in the kit which has a doily border – you will need to bring your own butterfly stamp.  have also added detail using some black & red Kaisermists, these will be available to use at the crop as well. I have added my own black rhinestones from my own stash to the butterflies.

Other items used which you may want to bring are a needle for sewing (if you want to do it) foam pads and a small pair of scissors as there is some fussy cutting on the layout. We will however have a selection of Foam dots/roll, available to purchase in the on site Merly shop.

I have used the WRMK Sew Easy Tool, we will however bring this item to the crop for people to use.

The location of the crop, together with other details and future dates can be found on our Crop Dates page. We also have a crop/retreat facebook page, where you can see more sneak peeks of these layouts – and details of up and coming events and where you can also post your finished layouts.

At the crop we will also have our usual FABULOUS Merly Impressions Shop where you can purchase all the latest Kaisercraft goodies, including the new February & March Kaisercraft collections and the brand New collections from the beautiful Uniquely Creative including Wise & Free, Urban Garden and the stunning Tropical Dreams

See you all on Saturday 21st March 2020!!! at 10am (not before, unless you have been asked to help, as we will be very, very busy getting ready, please wait outside if you do turn up early) – until 4pm.  The cost for the day & kit is £30.00 payable on the day, we take cash and/or cards.

Exploding Box with Rosabella

Hello,
Karen here with my last project using the beautiful Rosabella collection. I have made a hexagonal exploding box and am thrilled with the results.  Be warned this post is very photo heavy.

IMG_5903

For this project I have used Coal cardstock (4 sheets),  6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, Collectables, Clear Stamps, Wooden Flourishes, Decorative Die – Rose and Leaves, Kaiserink Pad – Licorice and paper blooms in Black and Dusty Pink.

I cut my box from Coal cardstock on my Silhouette from a design I had made several years ago but there is a tutorial for making a similar box here.  Once I had made my box I and lid I used papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad to cover the top of the lid, base of the bottom and the pages.

IMG_5907

I then used some more pages from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad to stamp the lace pattern from the Clear Stamps set, using Kaiserink Pad – Licorice , and used these to cover the sides of my lid.IMG_5905

I decorated my pages with tags and sentiments from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad and flowers from the Collectables pack.

I used the Clear Stamps and Kaiserink Pad – Licorice  to stamp some butterflies and added them on strips of acetate to the bottom of my box and then decorated with Black and Dusty Pink paper blooms, I used the Decorative Die – Rose and Leaves to cut leaves from 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad and tucked these around the flowers .

Finally, I used more die cut leaves and Black and Dusty Pink paper blooms to decorate the top of the lid adding Wooden Flourishes to finish off.

I loved making this and am going to add photos of my daughter as a Mother’s Day present for my mother-in-law.

See you again next month

One of a Kind with Rosabella

Hello,

Karen here with another layout featuring the absolutely gorgeous Rosabella collection.

One of a Kind

For this page I have used Sombre Botanic, Darling Flush, Miss Classic, Anaztasia, Balletic , Angelic and Beauteous papers, Kaisercard Dove Weave cardstock, 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, Collectables, Curios, Wooden Flourishes, Clear Stamps, Decorative Rose Die, Mini Paper Blooms Black, Paper Blooms – Honey and Pearls – Latte.

I started by drawing lines .5 in from the top and bottom of my Dove Weave cardstock.  I then cut 10 strips from the papers measuring 11 ins x 1.5 ins and one strip 11 ins x 1 in.  Starting at the bottom, only adding adhesive at the top of each strip,  adhere one of the 11 x 1.5 strips, aligning it to the bottom pencil line.  Then add the remaining 1.5 in strips, overlapping each one .5in , finishing with the 1 in strip which is aligned with the pencil line at the top of the page.

I then run my thumbnail along the bottom of each of the strips to distress them.

I added a quote from the Angelic paper to the top left of my page and embellished it with a tab and small scallop border from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad, some die cut roses, using the Decorative Rose Die, flowers from the Collectables pack, a phrase from the Wooden FlourishesMini Paper Blooms Black and Pearls – Latte. To the right of this I added a tag from the Collectables pack and a Curio

IMG_5810

I then made a cluster around my photo using all of the above but substituted the black flowers for Paper Blooms – Honey  and also added a Stamped butterfly to the top right of my photo.

IMG_5815

I think that this is one of my most favourite pages that I have made in a long time.

I will be back next week with my third, and final, project using this utterly beautiful collection.
