Ubud Dreams Scrapbook Layout

Today I am delighted to bring you a very special layout I made recently using the new Ubud Dreams Kaisercraft collection.

LayoutFirst I took the Mandala Gloss Paper and fussy cut the mandala from the centre of the page. I then took my Kaisercraft Gel Pens and coloured sections of the cut out shape and drew some faux stitching around the edge.  After cutting 1″ off each side of the Citra paper I then gutted a sheet of Navy Kaisercard and mounted the Citra Paper and the Mandala Gloss paper on the top.

imageOnce I had done this I took the Kemala Paper from the collection and cut several squares from the paper and mounted them all on the remainder of the gutted Navy Kaisercard. I also mounted the photos on the Sage Weave Kaisercard . I laid all the mounted squares from the Kemala Paper over the top of the fussy cut mandala gloss paper and positioned the photos over the top of the squares too.

imageI then took several stickers from the sticker sheet and placed them alongside the round photo. I also added some of the die cuts from the collectables pack around the coloured in Mandala paper and beneath the cluster of sea breeze blooms and Iceberg mini blooms on the left that I added some strips of cheesecloth to.

imageTo finish I added some Aquamarine rhinestones and some of the really pretty Sea Breeze Sparklets  and a twirl of Hemp Cord in the Ocean colourway.

Another layout completed for my nieces wedding album. I do hope you will take some inspiration from it.

Finding Paradise with Ubud Dreams

Hi everyone,

Denise here with my final layout using the gorgeous Ubud Dreams Kaisercraft Collection.

028I started by using Coconut Weave Kaisercard as my base.

Next I took a sheet of Citra paper and using the more vibrant side I cut a half an inch frame, then placed it onto my card.

003 (2)I then took the Mandala Embossed Gloss Paper– I forgot to take a photo of it before I started inking it so this is how it looks.

mandala-gloss-paper-ubud-dreams-collectionI decided to find some distress ink that matched the collection so went for Tumbled Glass 026I put some ink directly on to a craft mat then using a water brush just went over the edges of the doily with the brush

027

030Once this was done, I took the inkpad and went all over the glossy doily to cover it.028 (2)Then I took the pen and using a different slightly darker colour, Mermaid Lagoon, I painted some of the design to make it show up.032

034Next, I cut around the edge,037Time to put it all together, I used some Turquoise Kaisermist to drip over the base -then I cut the doily down and placed it over on the right hand side of the layout.005 (2)My photo was matted on some of the leftover paper and some sheets from the 61/2 ” Paper Pad. Then it was time to add some of the wordings and elements from the Sticker Sheet.

032 (2)I also fussy cut some of the paisley pattern and flowers from the papers to embellish and draped some of the Twine around the photo.

I have really enjoyed using this collection and hope it’s inspired you to get crafting – thank you for visiting !

Ubud Dreams scrapbook layout

Another layout made with the delicious Ubud Dreams Kaisercraft collection from me today.

imageTo make this I took a sheet of Kaisercard Neptune Weave and I took the Mantra sheet from the collection too. I cut all the doors from the sheet and distressed all the edges and inked them with Lagoon Ink Pad. I then placed them all in a diagonal arrangement from right to left as, roughly, laid out below.

imageI then matted the photo on Navy Blue Kaisercard and tucked several small pieces of my own dies cuts between the layers together with several dies cuts from the Ubud Dreams collection pack. I also used stickers from the sticker sheet to create the title and sub-title.

imageI decided to create a cluster from the collectables pack and a twist of Hemp Cord and some of the gorgeous Sea Breeze Sparklets too in the top left corner along with some of my own heart embellishments. I also scattered the hearts and more Sparklets over the rest of the layout too.

imageFinally, as the photo is of my Grand daughter covered in marshmallow, I decided to add some splashes of white acrylic paint splattered over the layers.

imageI think the subtitle says it all.. She was so happy to have ‘procured’ a tea cake without her Mummy’s knowledge. Lol

Silly Selfie with Ubud Dreams

Good morning everyone,

Denise here with another project, a layout this time using the amazing Ubud Dreams Kaisercraft Collection.

104I loved some of the the wording die cuts in the Collectables pack this month and have had some silly photos of me for a while, so decided to make a page using one of them. It’s nice to scrapbook personal things once in a while isn’t it?

I started off by using the gorgeously detailed Kemala paper. I cut the middle out so making a frame and backed this with some Coconut Weave Kaisercard. Next I cut down a piece of Seafoam Kaisercard to 10.5 inches and placed it on the layout.

I  took another piece of Coconut Weave Kaisercard, cut it down to 10.25 inches and used a Punch around the Page to go round the outside edges and then stuck it on to the Seafoam card.

102I used some of the white card to mat my photo then placed it onto the layout on the left hand side towards the top and tucked some half doilies at each side. ( Always handy to have some doilies in your stash! )

Next it was time to use lots of Collectables to embellish the layout- some of these were as always with me raised up using foam tape.

097Together with some of the beautiful blooms in Sea Breeze. I also used some Rhinestone Sparklets in the middle of the patterned doilies from the Collectables.103I cut around some of the flowers so I could just tease them round a bit.

098I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project – there will be lots more inspiration from the team very soon!

Ubud Dreams Mini Album

Today I am pleased to be bringing you this Mini-album made using the newly released, yet ever so popular, Ubud Dreams Kaisercraft collection.

imageTo begin with I made the cover by taking two evenly sized pieces of card (any size you would like to make would be ideal but I chose 5″ X 7″ for mine)  and a smaller piece and then covering them with plain paper.

imageI then inked the plain paper with Lagoon Kaiser Ink.

I next covered the front with the reverse of the Mandala paper from the collection and Sekar paper on the back.  I then added die cuts from the collectables pack. I also coloured one of the mandalas in from the pack using  Kaisercraft gel glitter pens to give it a jewel like finish and added a strip of Natural lace to the front securing it beneath the patterned paper on the back of the front cover.

imageI then made two pockets to fit on the inside of the front cover and constructed double sided pages adherred to the rear of the cover leaving pockets for photo tags.

imageI embellished these using appropriate sayings from the sticker sheet. I am planning on using this album to record my before and after photos of my new home that I should be moving in to next month so some of the sayings were very appropriate..especially as this is my 17th move! ‘Life is not meant to be lived in one place’ after all said and done! Lol

The following images show some of the the highlights of the pages.

image

imageI also made double sided tags from the 6.5 x 6.5″ paper pad for the pockets using lots of die cuts, from the collectables pack, cut in half and layering them back to back for tabs to pull the tags out and I decorated each one with lengths of stickers from the useful sticker sheet.

image

imageOn several pages I used the Mini-Mix Designer Stencils to decorate the pages and yet more stickers and collectables

image imageFinally, on the front cover, I used Ranger Texture Paste through the same stencil to add texture adding a pearl in the centre of some of the flowers together with some further stencilling using the Tim Holtz Mesh stencil.

Finally I added some Iceberg mini blooms beneath the die cut window and added some die cut leaves from my own supplies along with a few more stickers both inside and on the back cover.

image….now all I have to do is create the ‘after’ photos to add to the album along with my ‘before’ photos I already have.

Mini Book with Ubud Dreams

Good morning everyone,

Denise here with my first project using the divine Ubud Dreams Kaisercraft Collection. What a gorgeously interesting collection this is.

017I made a mini album to keep for me to as a special reminder of one of our son’s weddings last year. The colours of the papers were perfect for the wedding photos .

I started by using a piece of kraft card which I folded in half then folded the outside edges back on themselves in to the middle to make a ‘W’ shape.

004003Then I folded another piece of card in half and stuck all the folded edges together to make a book – I added a spine using Kaisercard in Grey

Next I covered the inside pages with selections of papers from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad

005Then it was time to decorate the front cover.

017I used a mixture of die cuts from the Collectables Pack, some co-ordinating mixed hemp cord and  a Rhinestone Sparklet.

Next it was time to add the photos together with some sticker embellishments and more Rhinestone Sparklets.

018

019

020I used some gorgeous mandala stickers and borders from the Sticker Sheet. I also used a colouring pencil from one of the new colouring pencil sets to colour a word that I die cut from my stash.

I used Sea Foam Kaisercard to mat my photos on and to put behind the white lattice arch die cut form the collectables.

I hope you like this little mini album. The papers are so versatile as there is scope for lots of fussy cutting, colouring in on some of the designs and plain papers too! I hope you’re inspired – I was !
